Student's List of Things to
Bring |
Rotary
District 5080 YE Friendship Tour
-
Students WILL bring their
passport
and visa.
Students staying in the US will also
bring the
ORIGINAL DS2019
form.
Please be sure to also
bring a photo copy
of this paperwork as well.
-
One small soft-sided
suitcase.
-
A swimsuit.
-
A jacket for cold
mountain evenings.
-
Towels, toiletries, and
personal items
-
A sleeping bag.
-
Clothing for the tour:
Bring clothes for indoor and outdoor activities (Including a
good pair of walking shoes
for hiking). Dress
will be informal on the tour.
You will not need dress clothes.
-
Clothing
for the Conference:
A
Rotarian who is attending the Conference
(probably your YEO) should
bring
your Rotary jacket
to the Conference for you to wear during
the Flag Ceremony on Saturday morning.
Students will not be attending the
Governor’s Banquet so dress clothes are
not needed. An alternate youth activity
has been planned for this time. However,
students will be at the Brunch on Sunday
morning when dress is casual. At that
time they must be
presentable/appropriately dressed to
meet with Rotarians and to help promote
the program through their role as
ambassadors from their countries.
Musical instrucments. Singing songs at
campfires and on the bus will be part of
the Tour. Guitars and other instruments
that are easily carried should be
brought along.
Talent
Show -
Students will be practicing for the
Talent Show while on the Tour. A piano
will be available for the Talent Show
and other large instruments or props
should be brought by a Club Rotarian for
the Talent Show.
We want to
emphasize
or highlight the countries our Inbound
Exchange students are from
in the Talent Show at the District
Conference this year. Remember to bring
your national clothing and / or your
musical instrument or any other item
that you will need so that you are
prepared for your part in the Talent
Show. Start thinking now about how you
will represent your country in the
Talent Show at the District Conference.
Approximately
$50 for spending money. There will be
one opportunity to shop in a Canadian
city and one in an American city so
small amounts of cash in each currency
is probably the best.

| FOR
STUDENTS.... |
|
 |
The purpose of the
International Friendship Tour is to promote… INTERNATIONAL
FRIENDSHIPS!
|
 |
The best way to promote
international friendship is for people from all over the world to meet
each other.
|
 |
That's what the tour is all
about…meeting people…. getting to know them, and them getting to
know you.
|
 |
So make an effort to meet
lots of people in the towns that you visit! |
 |
Be friendly!
And have a great time doing it! We want this to be a
highlight of your year in our district.
