To
Club Youth Exchange Reps : Why Fall
Orientation is important
Rotary Youth Exchange is a
reality only because dedicated people at the club level make it
happen. Across our district and around the world, certain Rotarians
will make it happen in their local community because they see youth
exchange for what it is; an opportunity to put the principles of Rotary
into action and make the world a better place.
Some clubs have several members
who work together to make it happen. But it is not unusual for
a club to have a single person who really understands what youth exchange
is all about and who will take the time and energy to build a club
program.
These Rotarians, people such as
you if you are reading this page, need training to oversee a club youth
exchange program:
*
There are school presentations to be done so young people know
about the program.
*
There is a selection process to ensure that well-qualified students
are sent to represent our district.
*
There are deadlines, there is paperwork, and there are many
procedures to be followed along the way.
That's what this training is
all about. We will be talking about the "Youth Exchange
Process" everything from A to Z about youth exchange. And we
will be ready to answer your questions and listen to your suggestions
about the program we offer.
